So what exactly is a Parent Coach?

I’m so glad you’re here, and I’m so glad you asked! As a certified Parenting Coach and Instructor, I work with individuals, couples and small groups of moms, dads and/or grandparents. Together we explore the highs and lows in the current family structure and dynamics. This allows me to provide you targeted support and actionable tools to empower you to parent with more confidence and ease. I believe that you know your child best and while I offer the most current and researched information in the field of parenting, I’ll guide you to bringing that into your home.

Based on the needs of the family, there are two different directions we can go:

  • One is general support catered to the specific concerns of the family (i.e. if there’s a topic you want to learn more about, we will focus on that - Big Feelings, Hitting, Listening, Sharing, etc.).

  • The other is the Hand in Hand Parenting, the organization I’m certified through. This approach is based on connection being the priority to help the child’s brain work best and to also build a strong parent/child relationship. It focuses on 5 specific “connection tools” for parents to use.

Parenting is beautiful, rewarding and hard work! Parents don’t often get the support they deserve and most likely need. In all Here We Grow coaching sessions, parents can expect to be heard and held; to be able to offload both the challenges and successes in their own homes. I troubleshoot individual moments and provide specific tools to help the parent and child move through life and coexist with unconditional love and connection. The coaching approach I am trained and certified in (as well as practice with my own children, ages 13 and 10) is deeply rooted in brain science, child development and research.

Each session is followed up by an email recapping what was covered as well as recommended reading that corresponds with the topic(s) discussed. Parenting Support is offered on an individual basis and/or for larger groups.

Private sessions are 55 minutes. Small group circles are 90 minutes. Please book a free 15 minute consultation to learn more about our services and see how we might be able to support you along the ebbs and flows of your parenting journey!
